Equator Half Marathon is a proposed annual tourism-based run with its first edition set to be held in Nanyuki Kenya. This is a unique and spectacular marathon which is set to start and finish at the Equator line at the foot of Mt. Kenya. It is the second World Equator cross running marathon after Equator Addu Marathon in Maldives and first in Africa.

The marathon is organized by Equator Line Adventures in conjunction with Athletics Kenya as technical partners. The first edition is scheduled to be held on Sunday 20th August 2023. Planning are in top-gear and official launching of this event is slated for 5th May 2023. All athletes participated in our previous events namely Road Safety Marathon Ruiru and at Equator Gwakungu shopping Centre 2016/2017 respectively.

These athletes will be given complimentary entry at forthcoming Equator half marathon as a role model to the upcoming runners. Their registration fee has been waived and are requested to forward their names to the events office for official entry to the race. The marathon is a well thought idea, noble and sustainable, therefore we take this opportunity to invite you all to cross-run the Equator line with us on Sunday 20th August 2023 for our first edition.

Offline and online registration are accepted from 1st May to 19th August 2023.
